WHAT IS INTERWEAVE?

This is movement medicine for our disembodied culture, calling us back to ourselves and to the world with more love.

Purpose: Movement is far more than glitzy entertainment or proving one’s coolness and sex appeal. Instead, Interweave guides embodied experiences to come home to the body, unknot the psyche, open to spirit, and connect with humanity.

Modalities: The experiences weave threads of conscious dance, embodied meditation, journaling, juicy lecture, and heart-filled group interaction – multifaceted growth opportunities, for the multifaceted human.

Offerings: Interweave offers classes, retreats, coaching, and conscious performance.

Why Embodiment? The wisdom of our bodies have too long been forgotten!  The body holds the capacity to feel, embrace, and regulate our emotions, the desire to open to pleasure and aliveness, the enjoyment to fully express ourselves, the ability to calm the nervous system, the power to repattern unhealthy behaviors, and the magic to experience the divinity within.

Why Self-Love? This is a major theme in Interweave due to the critical imbalance of our culture’s lack of self-love. We can talk all day long about loving ourselves, but what does that mean? How do we receive more love and what does that feel like in our bodies? Through self-care practices, self-compassion, playfulness, and emotional regulation, we can move through insecurities of what our bodies, popularity, parenting, and jobs may look like. We can experience beyond the cloud of the ego, that we are divine, and in this, we are intrinsically worthy.

Examining what blocks divinity from our perceptions, practicing being with our “flaws” in self-compassion, and untangling harmful judgments and behaviors, we can expand love inside our bodies and replenish the wellspring of the heart. Perhaps what makes us good people isn’t only that we care for the planet and for others, but also that we care for ourselves – If we are children of spirit, would the divine not wish us to lovingly care for ourselves, just like we wish for our children?

Embracing our Humanness. Being human can be overwhelming, and it is easy to want to escape. Habitual vices and even attempts to reach for the light, can split us from parts of ourselves – parts that actually need loving presence to heal. Opening more fully to our humanity, requires opening into the acceptance of all of ourselves – the mind and body, spirit and ego, the bliss and the pain, the shame and the glory, stillness and motion, healthy and unhealthy patterns, the conscious and unconscious, the individual and the community, and the shadows and the light. Rather than escaping from our lives, Interweave holds experiences for embracing and evolving our humanness, bringing more heaven to earth.

Themes. Interweave offers themed experiences to enhance our relationship with topics such as peace, joy, pain, trust, self-worth, selfishness, forgiveness, grace, sensuality, authenticity, boundaries, resilience, kindness, patience, humility, freedom, and wonder.
